What does it take for an entrepreneur’s dream to turn the corner to viable business?
by Melinda FolseSeveral years ago, I helped launch a national magazine called Millionaire Blueprints. It was the brainchild and passion of its publisher, the late Tom Spinks, to go talk to entrepreneurs who had achieved million-dollar success with their idea for a business or product and ask them the hard questions of exactly how they did it. He wanted to create a blueprint that other people could really follow to find the same success with their own dream.
You’d be surprised at what people will tell you if you ask them. In a series of hard-hitting, no-questions-barred, in-depth interviews with dozens of America’s top entrepreneurs, we delved into story after story, asking detailed questions of exactly how they did what they did. We uncovered the good, the bad and the just plain unbelievably simple truths behind what it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur. And we learned to wait for the one point in each interview we always knew would come — the point at when each business turned the corner between dream and viable business.
